After a statewide canvass, a statewide machine recount, a partial hand-to-eye recount, and a rejected attempt to disenfranchise more than 60,000 voters, the results are clear: North Carolina voters chose Justice Allison Riggs to remain on the state Supreme Court.
The great thing about our democracy is that we, the people, choose our leaders, and the people have spoken. There is no administrative, legislative, or judicial body that can overrule the will of the people. And there is no room for personal grievances or partisan games. The law is clear: the will of the people must stand.
Now that the full process (including multiple recounts) has run its course, there is only one thing left to do: Jefferson Griffin must concede.
