Dock the Greed Rally with Oxfam America

Date and time
Tue, May 6, 10:00am-11:00am EDT

Location
Bicentennial Plaza
1 E Edenton St, Raleigh, NC 27601

On Tuesday, May 6 at 10 am, North Carolinians will rally at Bicentennial Plaza to highlight the devastating funding cuts that the Trump administration and his Congressional allies are advancing through the federal budget.

The proposed budget would rip health care away from millions while handing out over $5 trillion in tax breaks, mostly for wealthy individuals and corporations. Trump has already made cuts to food assistance, education, public health, and medical research, with cuts to Social Security and Medicaid looming. These cuts to essential lifelines come at a time when Trump is raising tariffs to levels never seen before, spiking costs on everything from groceries to transportation for families fighting just to make ends meet.

Higher costs, a slowing economy, and shrinking support– North Carolinians deserve better than an administration that would rather fund billionaire yacht care over measures like affordable health care.

It’s time to show up and speak out. Join Progress North Carolina Action and Oxfam America to call on our elected officials to #DockTheGreed and prioritize the needs of everyday North Carolinians.
